ANYA BROCK Painting Workshop

Sunday 17th November – Stackwood – 10am - 4pm

I will be hosting a 6 hour Painting Workshop at Stackwood, Fremantle on Sunday 17th November where we'll paint, make mess and be merry!

The workshop has been crafted as a start-to-finish lesson on creating a painting. You will work through how to select and choose imagery to draw and paint from, explore experimental drawing exercises to train your eye, colour mixing, to finally crafting your own painting on canvas.

My workshop will explore the nature of self observation and work on breaking down all the obstacles that hinder your creative path.

The Workshop will provide:

  • Source imagery to paint from
  • Paper, Pens, Charcoal
  • Paint Pots
  • Set of 5 Paintbrushes to keep
  • 20 x 24 inch canvas (51cm x 61cm)

We'll be painting colourful faces so hopefully you'll come away with an understanding of experimental mark making and sophisticated colour palettes.

EXPERIENCE and AGE: It’s not essential that you have an existing creative practice- newcomers are welcome but the exercises we’ll do are fairly experimental and so require a courageous spirit! 18yrs and older is appropriate.

The end goal of this workshop is for me to teach you how to create with a light and expansive mindset rather than a critical and discouraging one.

It’s VERY ENJOYABLE.
